Recently, the State Council issued the “Opinions on Deeply Implementing the ‘Artificial Intelligence Plus’ Initiative”, proposing to promote the intelligent development of all elements of the industry and assist in the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries.

Manufacturing is the ideal scenario for the application of artificial intelligence. As the core driving force of the fourth industrial revolution, artificial intelligence promotes the transformation of the “human-machine-material-process-environment” element system in production and manufacturing from a static configuration to an intelligent paradigm of dynamic self-organization. The production and manufacturing system transforms into an intelligent ecosystem of autonomous perception, collaborative decision-making, and real-time evolution. This transformation will restructure the underlying operational logic of manufacturing and become a key engine for building an intelligent manufacturing system and strengthening the competitiveness of a manufacturing power.

From the perspective of enterprise practice, artificial intelligence enables the entire production chain, including “simulation verification, manufacturing assembly, and operation management”, to be empowered. In simulation verification, enterprises in fields such as ships, high-speed rail, and automobiles have applied intelligent design to conduct virtual simulation optimization for research and development and manufacturing, effectively shortening the research and development cycle, reducing research and development costs, and improving product performance; in manufacturing assembly, human-shaped robots in China have achieved a key breakthrough from technical verification to large-scale commercial deployment, and are accelerating the deployment and application; in operation management, enterprises utilize intelligent vision systems and generative artificial intelligence to strengthen material optimization management, dynamically detect product defects, further optimize management methods, and improve the accuracy and efficiency of management.

Currently, the application of artificial intelligence in production and manufacturing systems is continuously evolving and demonstrating significant potential. The feedback from the cable industry and market also gradually confirms this trend.
